About the Author
Michael Chyatte is a Certified Trunk Monkey Trainer who has been involved in the primate-centric automotive accessory industry since its inception. He developed the industry's first wireless activation system, which became the basis for the RAMJAC Corporation's world-famous Trunk Monkey Universal Installation Kit. In early Summer 2005, Mr. Chyatte took time off from his position at the RAMJAC Corporation as Principal Primate Trainer to share his knowledge and experience with others by writing Trunk Monkey for Dummies (For Dummies Publishers). At the close of 2005, Mr. Chyatte began working with an group of exceptionally talented primates with the goal of creating the world's finest chimpanzee symphony orchestra.

Too vital! You gotta have this book! November 14, 2005
Reviewer: J.D. Hathaway (Douglas, CA USA)

This book rocks! It takes you way beyond the basics, especially in the areas of covert primate operations. My favorite section of the book is the "Extended Primate Hand Signals Guide". A few weeks ago, some idiot on a motorcycle cut me off on the 405 Northbound. I caught up with him at the light at Greenboro Road, hit the "Unarmed Response" button on my TM remote, and released Bubbles. He hopped out of the trunk, ran over to my door, and waited for his instructions. I pointed at the biker dude, then quickly signed "Banana-Rama". Bubbles squealed with delight, and took off. About a minute later, he came back wearing the biker dude's sunglasses. I signed "Back in the trunk" and we were outta there. I bet that biker dude still thinks of Bubbles every time he sits down - totally excellent!

This book contains a lot of useful information November 11, 2005
Reviewer: Sister Maria Edna Stevens (St. Catherine's Convent, Haineyville, NM USA)

We have a large bonobos in the back of our bus (Mother Superior thought it would be a good idea to have a Trunk Monkey along for the long trips into town). He seemed to be content just sitting back there, flipping through old copies of National Geographic Magazine; however, Sister Bertrille and I thought that he could be a more involved member of our community. Using some of the training techniques described in Mr. Chyatte's book, we were able to teach Seamus many new skills. He now spends Saturday evenings in our recreation hall, handing out and collecting bingo cards.

The book was OK - but some of the signing examples are a bit confusing October 30, 2005
Reviewer: Robbie S. (New Stanton Township, VT USA)

I thought this book was just OK. The first half is basically a rehash of the information found in the owners manual that comes with each Trunk Monkey. There are some very helpful hints on how to deal with a Trunk Monkey that has exceptionally "uncivilized" habits (until I read this book, there was NO WAY I could let Rupert within 30 feet of a soft ice cream machine, let alone let him have any - 'nuff said!). As for the extended signing examples provided in the back of the book, I thought they could have been more clearly explained. All in all, though, an OK book.

Good book! October 22, 2005

I like the pretty pictures in the back. Can I have lunch now?
